This project, conceived as a New Urban Village, exemplifies sustainability in regeneration: fully integrated tenures, public transport, education provision, primary health care, shops, leisure, low energy buildings and a high quality public realm create and support a thriving community.
The development received critical acclaim in the form of Urban Village Forum endorsement and several RIBA National Design Awards. It was a best practice case study in The Urban Design Compendium and featured in (DB32) Places, Streets and Movement. It was also a best practice case study in Living in The City and was featured on the front cover.
