The new greens at Oak Road will provide 60 new homes with a community focus. The mixed tenure houses are clustered around a series of attractive open spaces. This will make a handsome addition to the existing village, which has grown up over time on the banks of the River Avon near Stratford.
Oak Road uses MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) techniques in the form of factory produced timber panels. This gives a greater degree of quality control and allows the buildings to progress more rapidly on site. The factory techniques are so efficient that the structural frame for a house can be fabricated in 45 minutes!
- 60 new homes;
- A full range of tenures from open market sale, shared ownership though to rented properties.
- A broad range of house sizes from 1 & 2 bedroom cluster houses and bungalows, through to 4 bedroom detached homes.
- MMCs used to speed up the construction stage and enhance quality control.
- The landscape design creates flexible spaces – for play, for accommodating a sustainable drainage scheme and creating a visually attractive, biodiverse wildlife habitat.
